How to - Delegate Website Platform Access

Here are the instructions for the following platform:

WordPress

  1. Log into your website back end: https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin
  2. Click on the “Users” tab on the left hand menu bar.
  3. Click “Add new user”
    1. Fill out the required fields:
      1. Username – frontline
      2. Email – websites@frontlineconsulting.ca
    2. We will reset the password ourselves so the default password is fine to use
    3. Make sure “Send the new user an email about their account” is checked
    4. Change the Role from “Subscriber” to “Admin”
    5. Click on “Add new user” to complete the process.

Shopify

  1. Sign into your Shopify backend
  2. Click the Settings Menu and navigate to the “Users and permissions”
  3. Click “Add staff”
  4. Enter the Name and Email:
    1. Peter Quinn
    2. google@frontlineconsulting.ca
  5. Set Permissions
    1. We will need at least the following from the Store Permissions: Home, Analytics, Marketing, Online Store, and Store settings.
    2. We will need App Permission “Manage and install apps and changes” along with “Approve app changes”
  6. Click “Send invite”

Squarespace

  1. Sign into your Squarespace Account
  2. Go to the “Settings” tab on the left side of the Dashboard.
  3. Click on “Users”
  4. Once you are on the “User Management” page, click on the “+ New Users”
  5. Enter Username: frontline
  6. Enter Email: websites@frontlineconsulting.ca
  7. Create a Password and share it with us (we will reset the password for our delegate account ourselves, and you will be able to remove us at any point.)
  8. Set our permissions to Administrator.
  9. After entering the information, click on “Create”

Wix

  1. Sign into your Wix Account
  2. Go to “Roles & Permissions in your site’s dashboard
  3. Click “Invite Collaborators”
  4. Enter the Email: google@frontlineconsulting.ca
  5. Set roles to “Website Manager”
  6. Click “Send Invite”

GoDaddy

  1. Go to your GoDaddy Delegate Access page. You might be prompted to sign in.
  2. In the People who can access my account section, select Invite to Access.
  3. Enter the Name and Email address for the person you’re inviting.
  4. Enter the Email: godaddy@frontlineconsulting.ca
  5. Select one of the access levels. If you’re not sure what this means, read our explanation of access levels.
  6. Select “Products & Domains”.
  7. Click Invite.
